Post workout Overnight Oats!



So lately I have been going to the gym quite early in the morning. I prepare my oats the night before so that I have them all ready for when I come back to my dorm before class!!


1/2 cup of oats

1.25 cups of water

Then 3/4 cup of water (added at the end)

1/2 cup grated zucchini

1 packet of stevia

1 tsp vanilla extract

4 TBSP egg whites

1/2 scoop of protein powder



I microwave combine oats, stevia, water (not the 3/4 cup), vanilla extract, and zucchini (this is the step where you would add in other flavor extracts). Microwave in a big microwave safe bowl foe about 3-4 minutes (watch for over flow). I usually start with 30 second intervals. Then stir in egg whites and cook for another 2 minutes. Once done I add in the protein powder( I would also add in unsweetened coco power or cinnamon here if the flavor I was making needed it)! Then add 3/4 cup of water so that the oats can soak overnight!! Put in fridge and take out in the morning. I usually warm my oats up in the morning for 1 minute. Then top with what ever you would like! I love peanut butter or almond butter, banana, a fruit (raspberries, strawberries, or blueberries), walden farms chocolate syrup, and then my vanilla (or chocolate) cream marshmallow frosting!
